Data Processing
What Data is Processed
When you use Build a Doc, the following data is processed:

Processing Location
- All document generation processing occurs in secure Azure data centres
Data Security
Encryption
- All data is encrypted using TLS during transmission

- API keys are required for all connector operations
- Role-based access control in the Customer Portal
- Audit logs for all activities
Data Residency
Power Platform Connector
When using the Power Platform connector:
- Templates and data are sent to Build a Doc services for processing
- Processing occurs in Azure regions
- Generated documents are returned to your Power Platform environment
Word Add-in
When using the Word Add-in, preview data is sent to Build a Doc services for preview generation.
Customer Portal
Portal data is stored in Azure data centres.
Your Rights
Data Access
You can access your data through:
- The Customer Portal for subscription and usage information
- Audit logs for activity history
Data Deletion
To request data deletion, contact support with your request.
Compliance
Build a Doc is designed with security and audit capabilities:
- Security measures - Encryption and access controls in place
- Audit trails - Activity logging available for compliance requirements
Third-Party Services
Build a Doc uses Microsoft Azure for infrastructure and processing.
